To thoroughly implement Xi Jinping's Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implement the overall requirements of "Upholding the original aspiration, fulfilling the mission, finding shortcomings, and ensuring implementation," enhance the "four consciousnesses," firmly establish the "four confidences," and in accordance with the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China's implementation opinions on the "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" themed education and the requirements of the higher-level Party committee, Yidu Group's Party branch recently organized a series of themed education activities on "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind."

On December 6, 2019, Yidu Group's Party branch organized a special organizational life meeting on the theme of "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" for all Party members and active members. The meeting was presided over by Shen Wei, deputy secretary of the Yidu Group's Party branch. Zhao Chen, secretary of the Party committee of the Wuxi Private Enterprise Association, attended the meeting as an observer.

The Party branch attached great importance to this organizational life meeting. To ensure that the organizational life meeting achieved its expected results, the branch committee made sufficient preparations before the meeting, actively organized all Party members to study two learning materials: "Selected Quotations from Xi Jinping on "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" and "Study Outline of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era," conducted heart-to-heart talks with Party members, solicited opinions from Party members, convened branch committee meetings, and after repeated discussions, determined the agenda for this organizational life meeting.

Shen Wei, deputy secretary of the Yidu Group's Party branch, led all Party members in watching the documentary "32 Years on the Isolated Island" and "Communiqué of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China." They studied the touching deeds of Wang Jicai, a national role model, who, together with his wife Wang Shihua, devoted their youth to the country's coastal defense cause for 32 years, making the island their home and enduring hardships, and learned and understood the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. Subsequently, Secretary Shen led everyone in rereading their Party membership applications, renewing their Party oaths, recalling their experiences joining the Party, and re-examining their initial aspirations upon joining the Party.

After recalling their initial aspirations upon joining the Party, all Party members exchanged ideas, reviewed their gains and improvements since participating in the themed education, identified their own shortcomings and deficiencies, put forward suggestions and opinions to other Party members within the branch, and put forward suggestions and opinions on the Party branch's work in the near future and in the future. The atmosphere on site was enthusiastic, and the Party members seriously examined their own shortcomings in accordance with the standards and requirements of the "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" themed education, objectively pointed out the shortcomings of other Party members, and put forward directions for efforts, achieving the expected results of the meeting.

Shen Wei, deputy secretary of the Yidu Party branch, summarized the self-evaluation and mutual evaluation of Party members. Everyone dared to speak truthfully, frankly, and from the heart, and objectively expressed their opinions and suggestions, achieving the goal of mutual promotion and improvement. He summarized the achievements and shortcomings of this themed education activity and deployed the plan for the next stage of themed education activities, focusing on the arrangements for the details of subsequent volunteer service activities. He pointed out that since the launch of this "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" themed education, the Party members' ideological awareness has undergone a significant transformation. In their work, they have been able to continuously strengthen their learning, set an example everywhere, and at the same time continuously impart advanced experiences to their colleagues, giving full play to their exemplary leading role and leading the masses to progress together. It is hoped that through this democratic life meeting, all Party members will seriously summarize and reflect on their own shortcomings, list rectification lists, and carry out targeted rectification and improvement.

Zhao Chen, secretary of the Party committee of the Private Enterprise Association, participated throughout in the Party members' criticism and self-criticism. He pointed out that through this democratic life meeting, it is clear that the preparatory work of the Yidu Party branch was relatively thorough, and the Party members' speeches were simple and realistic, and they also combined their own work. He hoped that the Party branch would further explore how to give play to the role of Party members at their work posts. Secretary Zhao made three requests to the Party branch: First, to ensure the implementation of various systems and continuously improve the effectiveness of the Party branch's work. Second, to ensure the implementation of responsibilities and continuously improve the efficiency of the Party branch's work. The "Wuxi Municipal Regulations on the Management of Household Waste Classification" has been in effect since September 1, 2019. However, due to the wide variety of household waste, there are still certain difficulties for ordinary residents in how to correctly and quickly carry out garbage classification. To further promote the implementation of garbage classification, advocate green living, and contribute their modest efforts to building a beautiful Wuxi, on the morning of December 14, 2019, the Yidu Party branch organized all Party members to participate in a garbage classification guidance volunteer service activity organized by the Chong'an Temple Street in the Rongyao Garden of the Hou Xixi Community.

The Community's garbage classification instructors explained the purpose and significance of this activity on site and clarified the activity process. After receiving the equipment, all Party members picked up garbage in the Community and surrounding areas. It seemed that the clean and tidy Community, upon careful searching, there was still a lot of garbage hidden in the slightly hidden places such as the grass, under the trees, and by the walls. After a short while, everyone had picked up a full bag of garbage.

The Party members carried the garbage back to the activity site and classified the garbage they had picked up into ten different boxes, including glass products, plastics, paper, clothes, metals, electrical appliances, and other garbage. Although there was only one bag of garbage, it took some effort to fully classify it. Finally, with the help and guidance of the garbage classification instructors, everyone successfully completed the garbage classification.

As the activity was coming to a close, the garbage classification instructors distributed a bottle of environmentally friendly enzyme produced after fermentation of kitchen waste to each person. The production process of environmentally friendly enzyme is simple. It not only processes garbage, but also has a wide range of uses. It can be used as an environmentally friendly cleaning agent or as an organic fertilizer. It is a good helper in life.

All Party members participated and experienced the difficulty of the garbage classification process, realizing the role and significance of garbage classification. They all expressed that they would strive to be leaders and promoters of environmental protection and garbage classification, adding a touch of green to the Community, and doing their utmost to protect the city under their feet.

This series of activities has benefited all Party members greatly, and their ideological understanding has been unprecedentedly improved. It has not only enhanced team cohesion but also helped the people around them. The Yidu Group's Party branch will further deepen the "Never Forgetting the Original Aspiration, Keeping the Mission in Mind" themed education, effectively raising the Party building work to a higher level, and through different forms, allowing each Party member to gain something, to be moved, to serve the people wholeheartedly, and to give back to society by carrying out more caring service activities.
